It looks good on paper, but unfortunately, most enzyme supplements won’t do a thing for you. That’s because when protein enzyme are extracted from their natural herb, vegetable or whatever other source, the enzyme will not behave in the same way as when it was in it’s natural state.
Furthermore, when you swallow that enzyme supplement, the protein enzyme will get eaten almost instantly when it enters the stomach because there’s a protein-eating enzyme called pepsin.
Certain supplements made from kiwifruit can overcome this problem because it contains the enzyme actinidin which does not get destroyed by pepsin, rather it works much the same way that pepsin does so it remains intact.
To fix your enzyme deficiency, rely more on organic, uncooked vegetables. These are a high source of digestive enzymes. Anything that’s grown organically will have more nutrents than the mass produced ones which are grown using dangerous chemicals, such as pesticides and herbicides.
